Reach Grant

What is the Reach Grant?

The Randolph Field Independent School District has received a $1.25 million grant from the Department of Defense that will focus on efforts to support the social and emotional needs of military students.

The Department of Defense Education Activity Educational Partnership grant will allow the district to provide programs for students at the elementary, middle and high school campuses.

Randolph Field ISD is committed to reaching the whole child.  Thanks to a history of dedication to excellence and supported by past DoDEA grants, RFISD has ensured students’ success academically and we continue to improve our practices around teaching and learning.  We acknowledge that we must address the unique stressors that come with military life as we work to meet the social-emotional needs of our students through the REACH grant.  Our goal is to support the social-emotional development of our military connected students through classroom-based student support programs, extracurricular activities that support military families, peer support and mentoring programs, and a focus on developing citizenship and leadership skills.
