Access to Technology

All students in grades PK-5 at Randolph Elementary School will be issued a school iPad, iPad charger, and protective case.  iPads will be distributed to students by the campus before the start of the school year. The exact date and method of pick-up will be communicated to parents by campus administration. iPads and their accessories must be returned to the classroom teacher once the student's face-to-face learning resumes.

 

All students in grades 6-12 will be issued an RFISD Chromebook, charger, and protective case as part of the RFISD 1:1 Chromebook initiative. The Chromebook will remain in the student's possession over the course of the academic year and will be collected at the conclusion of the school year. Distribution for Chromebooks will occur as follows:

 

All 6th grade students, as well as students in grades 7-12 new to RFISD, will collect their Chromebook from their respective campus on Wednesday, August 19.  Distribution will occur in a drive-thru fashion.  More specific details will be sent by campus administration as the date draws nearer. 

 

 

Returning students in grades 7-12 were issued a Chromebook last school year and were able to keep that Chromebook in their possession over the summer. Students are encouraged to power on their Chromebook to ensure that it continues to function properly.  Should a student's Chromebook no longer function and need to be exchanged for another device, students will be able to come by the Technology Building on Friday, August 21 between 8:30 3:30 to exchange their device for another.

 

9:00-12:00 - Make-up day for families who were unable to attend on their scheduled day.
