Susie Wacker » Medications

Students are not allowed to carry or self administer medications at school. Medications that need to be given during school hours should be brought to the nurse's office by the parent and a medication permission form completed. All medications should have a current prescription label with the name of the student, name of medication, dosage and times to be given. Over the counter medications require a Doctors note and parent permission form annually. Students may carry emergency medications, such as asthma inhalers and epi-pens, with written permission from the prescribing physician and parent. This permission to carry form will be kept on file in the nurses office along with an emergency action plan. See the school nurse for medication forms and questions.
