Governor Extends School Closures

This afternoon, Gov. Greg Abbott ordered Texas schools closed through May 1. This was not the news we were hoping for but understand that it is in the best interest of our families, teachers, and staff. We know this adds another week to what is a very challenging situation. We are listening. We will continue to work hard to partner with you to continue student learning. We have always said that student learning and adult learning go hand in hand. That has never been more true than now. Please continue to reach out to teachers and campus administration and let us know how we can help. Also, let your children know we miss them and look forward to seeing them as soon as possible.

Extended Remote Learning

Randolph Field ISD is extending the period of time we will be providing remote learning through Friday, April 24. During this time, district and campus staff will remain accessible through phone, email, and social media but district facilities will be closed to visitors unless permission has been given by the district or campus.

Bexar County Stay at Home Order Issued

Randolph Field ISD’s first priority is the safety of our students and staff. With today's announcement by San Antonio and Bexar County around "stay at home", we have made the decision to further scale down circumstances in which staff physically report to work. Be assured that we will continue to provide instruction and meet the needs of families as they arise. Please contact your child’s teachers or campus administrators if you have any questions or concerns and to provide feedback as we work to continually improve.

Extended District Closure Through April 3

We continue to actively monitor developments regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) in conjunction with local and state public health officials, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and JBSA-Randolph. Because of the rapidly evolving nature of this situation and out of an abundance of caution, Randolph Field ISD is joining other San Antonio area districts in extending our closure through Friday, April 3. Please also know that, as tenants of JBSA, should JBSA require us to do so we will extend our closure beyond April 3.
