LIFT Grant
Learning Intervention For sTtudents or the LIFT project focuses on closing student learning gaps through immediate, individualized, and focused intervention in math and the English Language Arts. This small group specialized intervention, not possible in a standard classroom setting, focuses on skill development, closing learning gaps, and providing children with the individual instruction necessary intervention. The grant, in partnership with DoDEA and RFISD, will allow the district to meet the unique needs of RFISD’s military students with interventionists, using school day intervention period, and provide out of school intervention activities.
The LIFT grant has supplied each campus a math interventionist and an ELA interventionist.
At the Elementary School 2024-2025
- 93 students have been served for math and 105 for ELA
- 100% of students have shown AT or ABOVE AVERAGE growth in goal areas
- The LIFT grant has purchased intervention tools such as Kickstart Number Sense and mCLASS through
Acadience Learning.
At the Secondary School 2024-2025
- Provided Accelerated Instruction & RTI to students in grades 6-12
- Interventionists pushed into classes to provide in-class support for struggling learners
- STAAR Blitz group instruction
- 67 Juniors provided support for SAT prep
- The LiFT grant provided NO Red Ink for ELA and IXL for math intervention
