Elementary Principal
Randolph Elementary School Principal, Tracey Bandy, began her career in education as a math teacher eighteen years ago. She grew up with a mother and grandmother as teachers, laying the foundation for her to respect the power of strong educators. She also had an amazing 7th grade English teacher who showed her how inspiring teachers could be. It was because of the influences of those she admired so much that she knew she wanted to one day have that same impact on her own future students.
Ms. Bandy received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at San Antonio, her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University, and is currently working on her Doctorate of Education.
Prior to joining RFISD for the 2023-2024 school year, Ms. Bandy worked in Judson ISD and Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD in a number of roles at the elementary, intermediate, junior high, and high school levels, including teacher, assistant principal, associate principal, and principal.
Professionally, Ms. Bandy is most proud of her background of working with students and teachers at all levels from PK-12, which has given her perspective and respect for what each grade level does for students. Working with all levels is something that not many educators have had the opportunity to experience, and Ms. Bandy appreciates that she has been able to use her unique experiences to drive the work, with clearly documented growth for students, at every campus she has been on.
Ms. Bandy’s favorite thing about Randolph is working with our special military community. As someone who grew up as a military dependent herself, with a father who served in the United States Army and two grandfathers who also served in the military, she understands what our students go through. She also loves getting to know students who have lived around so many cultures, while also helping the students learn to respect the backgrounds of those from all over the world, as they all come together to create something beautiful in RFISD.
Beyond work, Ms. Bandy enjoys reading and being a mother to two busy children. She also likes to pretend she is a great crafter, but she says she might actually just be good at making a mess!
