Secondary Assistant Principal
Glenda Brown, Randolph Secondary Schools Assistant Principal, has worked in a variety of roles during her twenty-one years in education, ranging from teaching elementary, middle, and high school ELAR to serving as a high school math tutor, high school track and volleyball coach, middle school track, basketball, and volleyball coach, and as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes sponsor. Most recently, before becoming an assistant principal, Mrs. Brown served as the district testing coordinator for RFISD.
Mrs. Brown received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and her Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.
As a lifelong learner herself, Mrs. Brown became an educator because she wanted to instill a passion for learning in children to help them become confident and successful. She is especially proud that after twenty years of teaching in the classroom, she successfully completed her Master of Education so that she would be able to serve even more students as a campus administrator.
Because of her background as a military spouse to her husband, who served twenty-five years in the United States Marine Corps, Mrs. Brown truly understands the challenges faced by military families and has loved the opportunity to serve military children and their families during her six years in the district.
Beyond her job, Mrs. Brown enjoys gardening, reading, coaching youth basketball, and spending time with her family, including her three grown children and five beautiful grandchildren. She looks forward to their annual family vacations to Destin, Florida and Disneyworld.
